Property Owner Preservation Program

Do you own residential rental property within Glendale city limits? If so, a new City program may be for you!  The Property Owner Preservation (POP) program is a new program to assist property owners/landlords due to a loss of rental income due to COVID-19.

Has your tenant not been able to pay their rent due to a job loss, job lay-off or reduced work hours because of the COVID-19 pandemic? If so, this program can assist you! The program will cover rent payments up to 6 months with a maximum of no more than $2000 per month. Funding for this program is provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The application process opens November 1st and closes November 22nd.  The program application, requirements, and frequently asked questions can be found at www.glendaleaz.com/pop.

This program is focused on assisting property owners of single-family units but in addition, multi-family unit owners may apply. The goal is to keep tenants in place and to protect landlords from further financial loss due to COVID-19.  Preference points will be given to single family unit owners.  Funds will be distributed through a lottery of approved applications and prioritized by preference points.
