Ramada /Special Use /Sports Field Reservations
On Thursday, October 1, the City will open reservations to outside organizations for gatherings and programs. This includes areas such as the Glendale Youth Sports Complex, Foothills Sports Complex, Paseo Sports Complex, Thunderbird Paseo Linear Park, Sahuaro Ranch Sports Complex and park ramadas. Use of these amenities will be by reservation only and the applicant will be responsible for following all CDC and AZDHS guidelines.

Glendale Adult Center 
The city continues to plan a reopening of the Glendale Adult Center while monitoring state benchmarks for the spread of COVID-19

If you witness park a violation please contact the Park Ranger at 623-695-3004.

Thunderbird Conservation Park Extra caution is required in and around areas affected by a recent brush fire including park trails. Visitors may also see an increase in wildlife activity, including rattlesnakes. Always stay on designated trails and do not interact with the animals who call this park their home. Be advised: open fires are prohibited in Glendale Parks.

Ongoing Projects or Closures

  • Bonsall North Pickle Ball Courts Two tennis courts at Bonsall Park are in the process of being converted to pickleball courts and are closed until further notice to allow the surfaces to cure. Please check back for more information, but in the meantime, you can learn more about the game of pickleball at
  • Right Tree Right Place Program The city of Glendale has partnered with Salt River Project (SRP) to identify and remove 167 hazardous trees encroaching on powerlines and to replace them with trees more suitable for the area. The city will get three trees for every one tree that is removed. In total, the city will receive 500 new trees and extra trees will be planted in our parks and along public streets. For more information on this program please visit
  • Murphy Park restrooms will be open only for scheduled events in the park. Restrooms are available inside Velma Teague Library or inside City Hall during business hours. 
  • Bonsall Park North: 
    • The ramadas are closed until further notice by the Glendale Building Official. 
    • North: A fence has been installed around the racquetball courts to discourage vandalism. Access to these courts can be made through the gate. 
    • Two tennis courts are being lined for to allow for pickleball games.
